Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) Diving

Swaraj Dweep, better known as Havelock Island, is one of India’s top scuba diving destinations, with warm tropical water, good visibility and a wide variety of reef environments. Divers can explore shallow coral gardens, sandy bottoms, rocky outcrops and deeper reef structures, with marine life ranging from turtles and stingrays to barracuda, groupers, moray eels and large schools of reef fish.

For newer divers, sites such as Nemo Reef and Tribe Gate offer relatively relaxed conditions and shallower profiles. More experienced divers can explore sites such as The Wall, Johnny’s Gorge, Dickson’s Pinnacle and Jackson’s Bar, where deeper water, stronger currents and larger pelagic encounters are more likely.

With dive sites suitable for everything from easy reef dives to deeper and more technical profiles, Havelock offers some of the most varied and accessible diving in the Andaman Islands.
